Ponsonby Rugby Club is the oldest extant member of Auckland Rugby Union, has the most ever All Blacks and a key client for Teamwear Sport in increasing brand awareness and loyalty with our core consumers (hands on the ball client).
25th June was Ponies Day, which is a huge event on the Ponsonby Rugby Clubs calendar which in-turn meant Canterbury were very happy to be able to support the event and promote our partnership. It was a cold & soggy start to the day, so the world famous Pokeno Bacon sausages on the BBQ were going down a treat until the rain stopped and we were able to get the Canterbury activation tackle gear out, we had some girls hitting harder than the boys which made for interesting competition!
The kids participated in a quick scavenger hunt while they waited their turn and were ecstatic over their Canterbury prizes. Our Instaframe was a hit amongst kids, passing it up and down the line for photos, paint faces and all.
It was a great turn out on the clubs part, with about 300 kids + parents braving the weather.
We had 3 Committed to the Game winners, our Canterbury sponsored season award. AJ from the U8 – U11’s, Drew from the U11 – U13’s and Tom from the Senior club.
